Battle for Andromeda 24H x 18W x 18D ~ Edition 25 ~ Bronze ~ $10,000 USD
The artist's depiction of the classic Greek myth in which Andromeda, daughter
of Cepheus and Cassiopeia, is to be sacrificed to the sea monster to atone for
her mother's indiscretion. Andromeda is chained to a rock near the shore and
the sea monster Cetus rises out of the sea to devour her. At this moment,
Perseus, riding the winged horse Pegasus, arrives on the scene, falls
instantly in love with the chained maiden and flies down to rescue her.
Pegasus alights on the rock, placing Perseus in position to engage the
monster. After a raging battle Cetus is slain and Perseus claims Andromeda
for his wife.
