Male Cleavage 12-1/2H x 11W x 6D ~ Edition 25 ~ Bronze ~ $1,850 USD Anyone who has held a horse to be shod or trimmed is familiar with the sight of “Male Cleavage.” This bronze depicts an actual scene from a colt’s first trimming. A good-natured farrier blushingly agreed to pose for the artist’s reference pictures, but was wearing suspenders on his next visit! Note the expression on the colt’s face, the “mouth clacking” denoting submission, the buckling legs that foals resort to when all else fails, and the girl’s grip on the tail for control. The colt is also standing on the girl’s foot! Click here to see my inspiration for this sculpture! |
